Mandore

The front, decorated with an arabesque rose, is made from spruce. The shell is made from 9 ribs of stained wood. The fingerboard is made from ebony and the bridge is possibly made from pear or cherrywood. The neck and the head are made from maple. The neck is veneered with ebony and the head holds 11 boxwood pegs with bone pins. Both the head and neck were made at a later date
