Valve trumpet
Trumpet in F. Brass with ivory touch-pieces and silver-plated mouthpice rim. Detachable valve section with two Stölzel valves. First valve lowers pitch by a semitone, second valve lowers pitch by a tone. Crooks for E, E-flat, D and C. Ornate mouthpiece is contemporary. Semi circular engraving on bell flare: IMPROV'D VALVE TRUMPET. Small metal plaque engraved; S.J.B; affixed to bell. Brass bell garland, engraved with a laurel wreath and text: Made by/ SANDBACH & WYATT/40 Percy Street/Rathbone place/LONDON
