Oboe
Oboe. Nominal pitch: C. Boxwood, four ivory ferrules at reed well, sockets and bell; cork lapped tenons, silver keywork. Three joints, onion-shaped baluster. Twelve keys, round, shallow-cupped, mounted variously in turned rings and blocks, saddles and pillars. Includes low B natural, half-hole plated for left hand first finger, octave key and hinged rings for F. D sharp duplicated. Three touch-plates for B flat. Twin holes for third finger only. Some keys are later additions. Chip out of octave key guide ring. Stamped: C. Golde Dresden (lyre and star mark).
