Square pianoforte

Pianoforte in the form of a sofa table. There are round end flaps on either side which when open can be supported by a bracket with wooden hinges. The top has a border of amboyna within straight lines and is edged with cross banding in rosewood. The piano is supported at each end on three turned balusters which are linked by two pairs of horizontal bars at each end. They rise from outward curving legs which terminate in brass feet, decorated with acanthus, and fitted with large brass castors. There is a shaped stretcher running the length of the piano which divides at each end into three sections.
