Flute-flageolet
Flute-flageolet, duct flute head joint but otherwise configured as a flute. Held transversely across the body while playing. Stained boxwood with one silver-plated key and ivory mouthpiece, end cap and ferrules. Five joints. String lapped tenons. Key is block mounted with square flat flap and leather pad. Block mount is full/round. Head joint stamped: BAINBRIDGE/INVENTOR/NEW PATENT; Barrel/stock stamped: BAINBRIDGE/..WOOD/35 HOLBORN HILL/LONDON/PATENT; with a crown emblem above. Upper joint, lower joint and foot joint stamped: BAINBRIDGE/& WOOD
