Euphonium
Euphonium in B flat, high pitch. Brass. Three Périnet valves, compensating system, double principle. Socket for music card holder on main first valve loop. Stamped on bell: CLASS/A/Enharmonic/Patented/50 MEDALS OF HONOUR/FB/BESSON & Co./"Prototype"/198 EUSTON ROAD/LONDON/ENGLAND. The letters FB also appear on the bell in highly stylised script and a star symbol appears directly below the inscription. Stamped on reverse side of second valve casing: BESSON & Co./BREVETE/98109. The numbers 1, 2 and 3 are stamped on the respective valves, both on the valve casings and on the finger button stems. A handwritten masking tape label attached to the lower section of the bell reads: 1912 PROTOTYPE
