Duct flutes; pifano
Pifano, duct flute of wood with six fingerholes. The back is flat, the lower and upper body is of rectangular section and is carved in relief with a stylised human figure, birds' heads and geometrical patterns. The body is varnished a golden-brown colour with staining in red around the second fingerhole from the top and on two of the geometrical motif, and in black around the fifth fingerhole. The front and sides of the mouthpiece extend from the flat top.
