Besson “Bach” trumpet in D. Three Périnet valves, bottom sprung. Angled stays connect 1st valve loop to mouthpiece receiver and 3rd valve loop to bell stem. Cork-bushed upper valve caps. Valve touches of unadorned brass. Bell inscription: 50 BADGES OF HONOUR/FB[logo in cursive script]/F.BESSON/”Prototype”/190 EUSTON ROAD/LONDON; with a star beneath. 2nd valve casing stamped with oval cartouche, in which: F. BESSON/BTE. SDGD; appears around a central star. Beneath is stamped serial number: 42982
