Cornopean
Cornopean, cornet. Tubing and bell of brass (the brass of the bell made by a cementation process), bell garland and crook receiver of nickel brass, valve caps of recycled paktong. Three Stölzel valves with square stems, touches with knurled edges, and caps with embossed floral bands around the sides. Valves are not aligned. Little finger hook on upper surface of bell stem. A "clapper" trill key appears to have been removed. With circular shank for A flat. Silver plate on bell inscribed: J. Conner; Garland inscribed: PACE/49 KING ST./WESTMINSTER
