Concertina
English-system concertina. Pale rosewood ends with fluted edge, 6.63in/168mm across parallel sides. Name and number holes beneath buttons. Neat, simple fretwork with grey card backing. 50 domed buttons: 25 each side, with black accidentals. All buttons of bone, apart from three of ivory. Very slim round and riveted steel reeds in 3-ply pan. Reed chambers are fixed under action board. Five-fold black leather bellows, thin. Dark leather straps with brass screws. Reed pan stamped: Adalb Suchan Melofon Fabrik; Round label on action board: Adalbert Suchan Melofon-Berfertiger VII Spindlegrasse 1, in Wien; Green leather label with gilt letters on right end: Adalb[ert], Suchan; Label on left end: 206.4
