End-blown flute; jantarka
Jantarka, end-blown flute. A single piece of churki (Prosopis ferox) wood, a dense hardwood with a narrow grain. The flute is diamond shaped in cross-section. The end faces are smooth and flat, but the other surfaces are roughly textured with tool marks. The bore runs longitudinally through the instrument and terminates at circular holes at either end with diameters 9.5 mm and 11 mm. The bore is both wider and more uneven inside.
