Whistle; duct flute

Zoomorphic pottery whistle, duct flute, in the form of the body and head of an animal, perhaps a jaguar. The head has protruding ears and nose. Its face is highlighted in brown and blue. The body tapers inwards away from the head with the mouth hole at the bottom. The mouth or window is on the back surface beneath the animal's neck. Three holes pass through the body of the whistle, two of which suggest spaces beneath the animal's front legs, the third positioned horizontally lower down the body, but none of the holes connects with the central cavity or effects the functioning of the whistle.
