Violin
Violin, Pesaro school. The arched back and belly, both inlaid with ornate geometric patterns. There is double edge purfling flanking a further line of inlay with ivory lozenges set in black mastic. The ribs are inlaid with a chevron pattern. The fingerboard and pegs are of ebony, the latter with mother of pearl studs. The combined chin and shoulder rest is of a medium brown wood, possibly oak. The end pin is of ebony.
