Bo with Dragon Loop and Panchi Pattern (Bronze bell)
Preserved in good condition. The central panel (zheng) is broken with 2 small holes on it. Made of bronze, with green patina on the surface. The body of the instrument is slim and long with its cross-section resembling two arched tiles closed together. The central panel (zheng), the areas (zhuan) between the studs, the studs themselves and the gu all have clearly defined sections. The bottom rim (yu) is flat and has inner lips. The upper surface (wu) is flat and has a double-dragon suspension loop (niu). This loop is decorated with S-shaped patterns and dots. The wu is decorated with thunder patterns; the areas (zhuan) between the studs and the gu are decorated with panchi patterns [in legend, panchi is a curled dragon without a horn]. There are 36 studs (raised half-spheres) with fine dots on them.
