Violin

This violin is a 4/4 size violin made of wood and halved in the back. Together with the violin there are two violin finger boards, a tailpiece and a bow. The violin is of a middle brown colour. Near the left 'f' hole there is a long and deep cut and it presents other two marks where the varnish has gone, on the belly. On the back interior there is a label stating: "Joseph Scott at Haltcliff near Hesket Newmarket fecit No. 27". The tailpiece also carries an inscription: The Grip, C & Y, Patent 13907, on the bottom part.
