Ivory: carved (1) on head section with a narrow band of beads above the window; (2) with wider bands of formal design at the head and bell sockets; (3) with a generally similar design between a pair of chaplets on the bell: the finger and thumb holes of fairly uniform size except the smaller hole for R3: the hole in the bell section for R4 now closed by a hinged key with mother-of-pearl touch.
