Red lacquer reed organ. Fourteen speaking pipes (or reeds) of bamboo. Three non-speakers. Each sound-producing pipe has a slit on the inner side to modify or intensify its tone (usually sweet, but some are inaudible). The pipes have a vent hole which is stopped to produce a proper note.
