Tambourine
A tambourine, possibly of Algerian origin, made from wood and parchment. The frame, decorated with line patterns and irregular shaped pieces of mother-of-pearl, is made from a single piece of wood that has been bent into shape and the ends lap-joined together. There are 10 pairs of metal jingles.
