Ophimonocleide
The body of dark brown stained wood; the circular coiled crook and crook socket sheathing of brass: 6 finger holes bushed with ivory spaced arbitrarily; one brass key with flat cover mounted on pillars on base plates: mouthpiece absent. No evidence has been found to establish which of the Coëffets working in the first half of the 19th century was the maker of this instrument.
