Method of hair tightening: simple screw mechanism, no ferrule. Stick: made of Brazil wood; cross section round, octagonal for c. 300mm at frog end; no wiring or wrapping. Head: facing; ivory strip which embraces the tip; elongated almost triangular shape; trapezoid plane; trapezoid wedge. Frog: made of ebony with Parisian eye on both sides; rectangular plane; inner undercutting c-shape; cross-section of rear end tapered toward the stick edge; screw cap of ebony with octagonal cross section; screw made of iron; eyelet of brass.
