Altar arrangement for the Goma fire ritual of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, consisting of square blackened wooden stand, with central cauldron of iron, a cord rail (and wooden corner-posts), 5 brass vases with artificial flowers, 23 other brass vessels, tray with 3 vajra and bell, and 3 instruments; priest's seat of blackened wood and matting, 2 cabinets for writings, on one of which 6 brass cups and a censer, on the other 2 brass cups and a domed bell. With detailed inventory of the utensils, made at the time of acquisition; also a diagram showing the arrangement of the utensils.
