rattle

A rattle "sisa" of woven palm leaf, wood and gourd. The cylindrical body has a section of gourd sewn into one end which acts as a resonator for the seeds (?) or small stones (?) contained within. At the other end a handle of wound strands of leaf is attached by means of crossed wooden struts.
