Musical instrument, lute, with rounded back and long neck. Lute has gourd resonator and skin-covered belly secured by metal tacks. Neck made of wood. Originally possibly three or four strings; remaining three made of twisted cotton thread. Strings secured to neck using leather thongs. Wooden bridge at lower end of lute. Short leather carrying strap attached to neck.
