Magical drum made of carved wood, membrane bone and leather. A pear-shaped body, pierced with a double hole with a bone strip across the central divide and with leather thongs tied across it. The membrane sewn to the body and painted with various magical motifs. Two early labels: a) ao the top a handwritten circular label: '+4344 Lapland Magical Drum H. Willett 3.6.89 b) below a printed strip of laid paper, possibly late 18th century: 'Lapland Magical Drum'.
