Drum, made of wood and skin, with painted designs and figures on membrane for use in magic ceremonies. The reindeer skin membrane bound at the edge and sewn onto the wood frame with a thread made of skin. The frame formed of a single curved piece of wood, which overlaps at one side and is bound with white metal rivets, a leather thong, and a brass strip with copper rivets. The exterior of the frame decorated with incised lines. At the wider end leather cords are threaded through the frame; these divide into three cords formed of twisted leather strips and bound with metal wire. A nineteenth century circular label on the frame reads: 'Pres'd by A.W. Franks 1 1869. Klemm Coll.'
