Technical description: The round, concave, varnished pernambuco stick has thread winding and ends in a Cramer head. The open, screw-mechanism, ivory frog has an hourglass shape. The bottom surface of the back of the frog is carved into three ridges. In front of the stick mortise is a rectangular-shaped metal pin. The top surface of the frog has a channel from the front of the frog to the screw eye. The pin on the stick and the channel in the frog fit together.
