Cornet. Nominal pitch: B♭ - A.
Technical description: Brass. 'Patent Conical Bore' long (Military) model large bore; fixed mouthpipe obviating shanks, slide pull for change from B♭ to A between 1st and 3rd valves with restraining rod, bore increased incrementally in the ten arms of the valve, main and A slides. Water-keys on main tuning-slide and A change slide. Valve type: 3 Périnet-type valves, top-sprung with spring outside stem, alignment by key on piston.
