Technical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keys. Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys, bell. Mouthpiece probably original; of dark wood with long tenon and short table, grooved with 13grooves for cord; length 59mm without tenon: wind cut 30mm, table 41.6mm.Barrel high-waisted, with two ivory ferrules.Upper section at top ornamented with a groove; speaker liner projects c5mm into bore.Middle section: wide ivory ferrule, no thumbrest.Lower section: levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a bell-shaped swelling.Bell almost continuous with an ivory rim.
