Technical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Barrel waisted to take a short-tenoned mouthpiece. Upper section: straight speaker, liner projects c4mm into bore; touch of shake key is curved forwards. Lower section: levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a bell-shaped swelling. No thumbrest. Note-holes profiled. Bell continuous, with ivory rim. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; A?. L2: T. L3: T; E??/B??. L4: C??/G??; straight bascule for E?/B??; straight F??/C??.
