Technical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keys. Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys, bell.Mouthpiece: Contemporary, dark wood, with long tenon; with 13grooves for cord; slight shoulder above tenon. Length 93mm; table 43.4mm; wind cut 30mm. Barrel: waisted; bored full length to take the long tenon of the mouthpiece.Upper section: speaker liner projects c 4mm into bore. Middle section: Wide ivory ferrule, no thumbrest.Lower section: levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a bell-shaped swelling.Bell discontinuous.Bore is metal lined ('Patent' in inscription may refer to this).
