Technical description: Boxwood, with ivory ferrules and bell-rim. Brass keys. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell.Mouthpiece dark wood, tenon on barrel, short table, grooved for cord, not stamped. Barrel slightly waisted (Cf. those of Thomas Key), with brass liner and tuning slide.Upper section's tenon and top 30mm of bore brass, to fit tuning slide of barrel; speaker liner projects almost to centre of bore.Lower section: touches of E?/B??; F??/C?? keys for L4 in Wood's Patent arrangement (1819). Levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a parabolic swelling.Bell slightly wide and thick-looking, with wide ivory rim. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throatA?. L2: T. L3: T. L4: E?/B??; F??/C??.
