Oboe. Nominal pitch: C
Technical description: Ivory with silver keys. There is a slender onion shaped baluster at the top of the instrument. The inward flange at the base of the bell is unusually small. The lowC key has no fish tail, it has a straight touchpiece as do the two E♭ keys. There are two vent-holes in the bell. Keymount type: blocks, the upper one forming half a raised ring; SATB. Keyhead type: C key: flat, round; E♭ keys: flat, square.
