Cornamuse. Nominal pitch: F.

Technical description: Constructed with a straight body in one section, possibly of fruitwood varnished dark brown, into which is inserted the reed and onto which is fitted the wooden wind-cap. The wind-cap has a slot for the player to blowthrough. There is a single vent-hole in the bell. The bore is cylindrical to c30mm below the vent-hole, below which it flares only slightly. Because the player has no direct contact with the reed, it is impossible to overblow; the range is just over one octave. L0: T; G??. L1: T; A?. L2: T. L3: T. R0:, R1: T. R2: T. R3: T. R4: T (displaced sideways). Keymount type: hinges let into body with no raised ring. Keyhead type: flat, square, with slightly clipped corners.Technical description: Constructed with a straight body in one section, possibly of fruitwood varnished dark brown, into which is inserted the reed and onto which is fitted the wooden wind-cap.
