Technical description: Pear-wood, stained brown, with german silver keys. One-piece body with ebonite mouthpiece for a German B♭ clarinet. Ligature optional, the mouthpiece is also grooved for cord. Thumb-rest. The construction resembles that of a descant recorder. No speaker key; the upper register is produced by 'thumb-nailing' the thumb-hole.
