Beaters: side drum; pair.
Technical description: Ebony with turned beads and grips; tapering shafts. Pattern and shape of the 'acorns' or tips of the sticks and the grooves on the butts indicate that they were not originally a pair, however they are very well matched. Total mass 80g; head mass 32g (40%).
