Valved horn. Nominal pitch
Technical description: 3 detachable valves with ascending third piston, which raises pitch by 2 semitones. Alternative tuning-slide sections for use as a natural horn. Brass; angle between axis of mouthpipe / crook receiver and axis of bell 140°; gusseted bell, no garland; water-key on tubing between crook receiver and main tuning-slide; cork-covered metal guide on ferrule on main tubing to prevent damage when assembling and taking apart. With 1-coil crook for F with water key. Note that an F crook for an ascending valve horn is the same size as the G crook for a descending valve horn. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves.
