Oboe. Nominal pitch: C.
Technical description: Dark stained boxwood with brass keys and ivory ferrules at reed well, sockets [and bell ring]. The conical reed well is lined with metal, possibly brass. Straight top model. R1 is a single hole. The C key has a fish-tail touchpiece. There are two vent-holes in the bell. There is an inward flange at the base of the bell. Keymount type: raised rings; SATK. Keyhead type: flat, round. Repair History: Bell ring was missing prior to accession. The crack in the middle section was repaired before accession.
