Technical description: Blackwood with german silver ferrules and keywork. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, lower section, bell. Unstamped cocus wood mouthpiece marked for a ligature. The instrument has extension slides in barrel, between upper and lower sections, and above lowest tone-hole, to convert high to low pitch. Connections between sockets and tenons lined with german silver. Upper section has a spectacle operating a vent just above L1. Csharp mechanism. Mechanism of bascule key can be extended. 13keys, 4rings, 4red rollers. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮; throat A♭. L2: T. L3: T; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅.
