Set of mouth-blown reelpipes, Nominal pitch: B♭.,
Technical description: Set of mouth-blown reel-pipes in ebony and ivory, with original stamped chanter, and possibly original horn mouthpiece.Chanter: Seven finger-holes and one thumb-hole. Lapped tenon with bulb. Ivory sole and ferrule on stock. Small chip out of the wood on the bulb. Hairline cracks in sole and end of chanter.Blowpipe/mouthpiece: Ebony blowpipe with ivory mounts. Light-coloured horn mouthpiece with long tapered end. Mouthpiece is worn from teeth marks around the tip.Drone set-up: three individual ebony drone stocks with ivory mounts.Drones: Bass drone with three sections and tenors with two sections. Ivory mounts.Bag cover/cord: Scott tartan wool bag cover with red fringe. Matching wool cord with two tassels.Additional Comments: Style identical to (6120).Measurements: chanter length 360, conical bore beginning at 4.5 and ending at 20; bass drone length c607, bore at top 11.4; tenor drones length c290, bore at top 9.6. Repair History: The bag and cover are modern replacements.
