Technical description: cocus; 3 sections; german silver keys; 5 german silver ferrules; metal-lined head; tuning-slide; [screw-stopper] with german silver tip; tenon cork-lapped and metal-tipped; very large, flat, roughly-made keytouch for D♯; slightly oval embouchure-hole.; Nominal pitch: D♭.; Type or system: 6 keys.; Keyhead type: cylinder cup.; Keymount type: rod/pillar, with leaf springs.; ; Usable pitch: sounding A₄ c|441|Hz; possibly intended to play at New Philharmonic pitch (1896), A₄ 439|Hz.; Performance characteristics: range D₄|-|A₆ (sounding E♭₅|-|B♭₇); in present condition speaks with difficulty below G₄ (sounding A♭₅) and above E₆ (sounding F₇), but otherwise has a clear sound.
