Technical description: cocus; 2 sections; german silver keys; 3 german silver ferrules; wooden cap; roughly-cut circular embouchure-hole.; Nominal pitch: A♭.; Type or system: 4 keys.; Keyhead type: cup.; Keymount type: rod/pillar, with leaf springs.; Usable pitch: sounding A₄ c|455|Hz in lower register, c|424|Hz in middle register.; Performance characteristics: [original range D₄|-|G₆ (sounding B♭₄|-|E♭₇)]; strong sound in lower register, but does not speak reliably above C♯₆ (sounding A₆) in present condition, and pitch in middle register gets progressively flatter up to there.
