Technical description: Silver; first yard passes through channel in ball; French bell rim. The bell flare is similar to that of (465) but not that of (466). Slide proximal leg has moving outer; distal leg has moving inner; elastic rubber slide return. With curved shank for F, four single-coil crooks for E (462a), E? (462b), D (462c) and C (462d); with three short curved bits and four straight bits.; Nominal pitch: F etc.; ; ; ; ; Usable pitch: Probably built for use at circa A?=|452.4|Hz with curved bit.;

LONDON."; hallmarked with letters "iw", lion passant, leopard head, "e", Queen's head (indicating 1860-61, the silversmith's mark doesn't exactly correspond to any in published lists) traces of hallmark on the middle yard.
