Case Patent Concertina boxed in oak carrying case, 1855 (c); owned by Surgeon James Fairweather and carried by him throughout the Indian Mutiny; hexagonal with fretwork sound apertures around cental circle; 24 keys on lower end and 25 keys on upper end; four green tape bound paper expansion sections in air pump; leather thumb straps and leather bound brass finger holds on each end; label printed with maker’s name, Boosey and Sons, London, visible through fretwork panel.
