Tenor drum

Tenor Drum, wood, 1905 (c); used by the 2nd Battalion Connaught Rangers; front painted blue/ black with crowned Irish harp in centre below regimental name and above scroll inscribed with a motto, to the left is an elephant and to the right is a sphinx, to left and right are scrolls inscribed with battle honours and to the right is joining panel painted with renovators name, George Potter and Co, Aldershot; flesh hoops and drum heads whole; eleven rope holes with brass slides; white blancoed cord; half plaited drag rope; three brass ball legs on upper hoop, painted with yellow and black dog tooth pattern outside and white inside with red edge.
