Transverse flute in C
Side-blown, grenadilla flute made in five sections (head, barrel, upper and middle joints, and foot joint), with eight silver keys mounted in wooden blocks and ring. Keys have saltspoon-cups, with the exception of the low C and C-sharp keys, which are pewter-plug. The latter keys also have overlapping touches. Flat springs attached to keys. Silver ferrules, wooden cap. Head is lined with metal. Round embouchure hole. Nominal pitch: C. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
