Transverse flute in C

Side-blown, rosewood flute made in five sections (head, barrel, upper and middle joints, and foot joint), with wooden cap and silver ferrules and nine silver keys mounted in blocks. Keys have saltspoon-cups, with the exception of the low C, C-sharp and B keys, which are pewter-plug. Silver rollers on low C, low B, and cross F-key touches. Flat brass springs attached to keys. Round embouchure hole and larger 2nd, 4th and 5th fingerholes. Nominal pitch: C. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
