Alto clarinet
Clarinet made in four sections: nickel-silver crook and bell, and ebony body joints with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. Twenty cylinder-cup keys, mounted in posts with rods. Flat springs attached to keys, and needle springs. Closed fingerhole keys. Tab seam on bell. Wooden mouthpiece with silver-plated ligature and cap, made by Hawkes & Son. Nominal pitch: E-flat. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
