Raft zither
This instrument was collected in the field by Miss A. M. Morris, ca. 1910. It is a raft zither made of a panel of cane internodes bound together with thatching grass at the ends. From the cane tubes, slivers of bark were sliced and raised over two transverse bridges, made of vine, to form the strings, which are twelve in total (one broken).
