Transverse flute in B-flat (A-flat)
Side-blown flute made of rosewood in two sections (head and body) with nickel-silver ferrules. It has one saltspoon-cup key mounted with pin on lower bulge, with flat brass spring attached to its touch. It has an oval embouchure, and larger second and fifth fingerholes. The tenon is wrapped in thread. Nominal pitch: A-flat.
