Lute-guitar
This is a lute-guitar that has a somewhat flatter back (not a pronounced bowl) and a guitar-style short neck. The back is made of eleven strips of maple. The top is made of a two-piece spruce with a carved rose. The flush fretboard is made of ebony has eight nickel-silver frets, plus five ebony frets with top nickel-silver strip on the soundboard. The nut is made of ebony. The slotted headstock is slightly tilted and has a "smurf-hat-shape" finial, with six brass tuning gears with lacquered bone knobs (3+3). There are six strings (three wound basses, two gut - one broken - and one plain steel trebles) attached to a moustache-style bridge with ebony bridge pins with mother-of-pearl inlay, and ivory saddle. There are two strap buttons on bottom and top-back of body.
